PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide liposomal vancomycin formulations.SOLUTION: The present disclosure relates in part to liposomal vancomycin compositions having low lipid-to-drug ratios and a high concentration of vancomycin. The present disclosure also relates in part to methods of making such compositions. An object of the present invention is to provide lipid based vancomycin formulations with low lipid-to-drug ratios. In one embodiment, the present invention relates to liposomal vancomycin comprising a liposome and vancomycin. In some embodiments, the vancomycin is encapsulated in the liposome.
