The present invention relates to a method for calculating the required cylindrical power of a toric implant by utilizing both the measured preoperative corneal / ocular astigmatism and the predicted surgically induced astigmatism. Such a method provides a more accurate method for calculating the required spherical-cylindrical refractive power of the implant.
