PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe device for insertion into a living body which is equipped with a shaft, that is housed in a sheath, is moved in the axial direction, and is designed for acquiring data, and has the shaft moving in the direction of a distal end in an excellent manner when the sheath is bent.
SOLUTION: The probe device 1 for insertion into the living body includes the sheath 3 and the shaft 2 for acquiring data with a data acquiring chip part 54. The shaft includes a cylindrical housing 11 for housing and fixing the chip part 54 and rotates by torque applied by a proximal end portion. The housing 11 forms a distal end portion of the shaft 2 and includes a slit retaining part 14. The slit retaining part 14 is equipped with a spiral-shaped slit 15.
