A scent cartridge 10 comprises: a plurality of apertures 12 for allowing air to flow through the scent cartridge 10 and at least one abutment surface 16 with a sealing material 24 for cooperating with at least one surface of a scent cartridge housing to form at least one air-tight sliding seal 22 with the scent cartridge housing 20 when the scent cartridge 10 is located in the scent cartridge housing 20. The sealing material 24 comprises of at least one of: silicone, thermoplastic elastomer and vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer and where the sealing material has a shore hardness range of 20-40. The abutment surface 16 comprises a friction reducing surface coating that is at least one of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and polyurethane wherein the surface roughness value is higher than 0.12 micrometers and lower than 2.5 micrometers. Another independent claim is for a scent cartridge housing 20 comprising: a plurality of apertures 30 for allowing air to flow through the scent cartridge housing 20 and at least one abutment surface 32 for cooperating with at least one surface 34 of a scent cartridge 10 to form at least one air tight sliding seal 22 with the scent cartridge 10 when the scent cartridge 10 is in the housing 20. Another independent claim is for a system comprising a scent cartridge 10 and housing 20.
