PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation container kit which can prevent an outer container from dropping off and prevent the inside of the outer container from being contaminated during handling.SOLUTION: A separation container kit for separating a separation object from a liquid sample includes a separation container and a cap. The separation container includes an inner container and an outer container. The inner container has a cylindrical shape with its upper end and lower end opened, and the outer container has a bottomed cylindrical shape with its upper end opened and lower end closed. When both containers are aligned in a vertical direction, the inner container can be inserted inside the outer container. The cap has a size to cover the upper end openings of both containers and includes a first fitting part for the upper end opening of the inner container. The first fitting part is fitted to the upper end opening of the inner container to bring the inside of the inner container to a liquid-tight state. The cap further includes a second fitting part for the upper end opening of the outer container.
