A port cannula system for puncturing implantable and implanted port catheters comprises a cannula holder, a cannula secured on the cannula holder and having a cannula tip. The cannula tip can be moved to at least one of a puncture position and a safety position. The port cannula system further includes a feeder connected to the cannula, and at least one support piece connected to the cannula holder for supporting the port cannula system on a patients skin. The support piece is connected to the cannula holder by a hinge. The hinge permits height compensation, for example, if the patients skin is not flat in the area of application or if the patient moves. The support piece, in conjunction with the hinge, thus represents a kind of leveling element.
