PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deodorizing liquid or slime, which improves a deodorization effect of hypochlorite, eliminates the occurrence of chlorine smell, has high safety, has low corrosion, has improved storage stability, is capable of effectively deodorizing the liquid or slime in a short period with a small amount of addition and to provide a deodorant and a method of producing the deodorant.SOLUTION: Sulfamic acid is added to alkaline aqueous solution which consists of alkali metal hydroxide to be dissolved. Moreover, chlorine-based oxidizer is added to be mixed. The deodorant containing combined chlorine agent aqueous solution prepared as one formulation is added to the liquid or slime to deodorize the liquid or slime containing odor-causing component which contains or generates hydrogen sulfide and/or mercaptan.
