PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composition capable of reducing the smell of perspiration and the composite smell caused by aldehyde and permitting easy preparation of an aqueous deodorant, and safe when touching a human body and also to provide a method of deodorization.
SOLUTION: The deodorant composition is a composition including (a) a polyhydroxiamine compound with a specific structure and/or its salt, (b) a quanternary ammonium antibacterial agent, and (c) a permeating agent. The permeating agent (c) is at least of one kind selected from surfactant (c1) and (c2) with specific structures and a non-ionic organic solvent (c3) whose logP value is 0-4. The deodorant composition is used in the method of deodorization.
