A method for producing a microcapsule, comprising: conducting wet-pulverization of a slurry prepared by suspending imidacloprid in a water-immiscible organic solvent adding an urethane-type high-molecular-weight polymer to the resulting product and dispersing the resulting mixture into water in the form of droplets, thereby forming a film at the interface between each of the droplets and water.
