The present invention relates to biologically active proteins comprising atleast two domains wherein a first domainof said at least two domains comprises an amino acid sequence having and/ormediating said biological activity and a second domainof said at least two domains comprises an amino acid sequence consistingpreferably of at least about 100 amino acid residues forminga random coil conformation whereby said random coil conformation mediates anincreased in vivo and/or in vitro stability of saidbiologically active protein. Furthermore, nucleic acid molecules encoding theinventive biologically active proteins and vectors andcells comprising said nucleic acid molecules are disclosed. In addition, thepresent invention provides for compositions comprisingthe compounds of the invention as well as for specific uses of thebiologically active proteins, nucleic acid molecules, vectors andcells of the invention.
