PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug, a food and the like which can be taken in a large amount at one time, does not impose an daily ingestion burden, excels in safety, has a higher suppressing effect on increase in blood sugar level, prevents and improves hyperleptinemia and hyperinsulinemia, and improves lipid metabolism.
SOLUTION: An agent for suppressing the increase in blood sugar level comprises chlorogenic acids. An anti-obesity agent comprises chlorogenic acids of monocaffeoylquinic acid and dicaffeoylquinic acid at a weight ratio of 120/1 to 1/1.
