PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester structured so that the crops pulled up from a ridge and dropped on the ridge are prevented from rolling down to a furrow.SOLUTION: The harvester includes: a soil crumble body 13 which crumbles the soil while proceeding in the soil of a ridge A under crops W cropped in the ridge A a pull-up device which holds leaves and stems of the crop W cropped in the ridge A and pulls up the crop W from the ridge A and a cutting device 15 which cuts the leaves and stems of the crop W pulled up by the pull-up device at the part lower than the pull-up device so that the crop W having leaves and stems cut by the cutting device 15 can be dropped on the ridge A. A pushing body 19 which pushes the soil to a shoulder A1 of the ridge A while proceeding in the soil of the ridge A behind the soil crumble body 13 is included.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
