PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antivirus agent effective to a herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) and free from side effects by acquiring an aptamer targeting the HSV-1, and to provide a new examination medicine for the virus.
SOLUTION: Provided is the aptamer made by preparing an RNA molecular aptamer having binding activity to the gD protein of the herpes simples virus (HSV-1) by using a SELEX method, and shortening this, the aptamer is specific to HSV-1, and inhibits invasion of the virus to host cells.
