PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dosage form for treating diseases or conditions in human patients, which can deliver high doses of poorly soluble or slowly dissolving active substances at a controlled rate.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical dosage form comprises: a semipermeable wall defining a cavity and including an exit orifice formed or formable in the wall and an erodible solid contained within the cavity and disposed adjacently to the exit orifice, the erodible solid comprising a binding agent, a disintegrating agent, and 70-90 wt.% of a pharmaceutically active constituent.
