PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for producing a sheet-fused body, in each of which uniform pressurizing force can be imparted to a belt-like sheet laminate as an object to be fused.SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing the sheet-fused body, which body has the sealed edge fused in such a state that the edges of two or more pieces of sheets are overlapped, includes: an irradiation head； a supporting member 21 for supporting one surface of the belt-like sheet laminate 10； and a pressing member 26 for pressurizing the belt-like sheet laminate 10 toward the supporting member from the other surface side thereof. The supporting member 21 has a slit-shaped opening 27 which is made longer in the width direction of the sheet laminate 10. The pressing member 26 has circulating caterpillars 24a, 24b and a plurality of pressurizing members 25 attached to each of the circulating caterpillars. The sheet laminate 10 to be kept in a pressurized state by the pressing member 26 is irradiated with a laser beam 30, which is converged from the side of the supporting member 21, along the opening 27, the sheet laminate thus irradiated is divided and the sheet laminate is fused in a state that the divided edges thereof are overlapped.【課題】融着の対象物である帯状のシート積層体に均一な加圧力を付与することができる装置及び方法を提供すること。【解決手段】複数枚のシートの縁部が重なった状態で融着したシール縁部を有するシート融着体の製造装置である。照射ヘッドと、帯状のシート積層体１０の一方の面を支持する支持部材２１と、該帯状のシート積層体１０をその他方の面側から該支持部材に向けて加圧する押さえ部材２６とを具備する。支持部材２１が、シート積層１０体の幅方向に長いスリット状の開口部２７を有している。押さえ部材２６が、周回する無限軌道２４ａ，２４ｂと、該無限軌道に取り付けられた複数の加圧部材２５とを有している。押さえ部材２６による加圧状態のシート積層体１０に、支持部材２１側から集光されたレーザー光３０を開口部２７に沿って照射して分断するとともに、この分断の縁部を重なった状態で融着する。【選択図】図４
