PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging device capable of detecting disconnection of a gradient magnetic field coil.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging includes a gradient magnetic field coil 103. Optical wave guides 1a and 1b including a material which melts at a prescribed temperature or higher are provided in the gradient magnetic field coil 103. Incident light beams incident from incident devices 200a and 200b pass through the optical wave guides 1a and 1b, and the passed light beams are detected by detection circuits 210a and 210b.
