PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment agent capable of performing water absorption and solidification, deodorization, sterilization, and antimicrobial treatment of waste.SOLUTION: A waste treatment agent contains a cellulose powder and a chlorine dioxide preparation. The cellulose powder is derived from a plant. The chlorine dioxide preparation includes a porous carrier and sodium chlorite supported on the porous carrier. In this waste treatment agent, the effect of water absorption and solidification of waste is obtained by the cellulose powder, and deodorizing effect, sterilizing effect, and antimicrobial effect on the waste is obtained by chlorine dioxide generated by sodium chlorite of the chlorine dioxide preparation. Therefore, the water absorption and solidification, deodorization, sterilization, and antimicrobial treatment of the waste can be performed by spraying the waste treatment agent to the waste. The cellulose powder derived from a plant is more excellent in biodegradability than a water absorbing polymer which is a common water absorbent. As a result, the risk of environmental pollution can be eliminated when discarded together with the waste, to reduce disposal cost.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】汚物の吸水固化、消臭、殺菌、及び抗菌を行うことが可能な汚物処理剤を提供する。【解決手段】汚物処理剤は、セルロース粉末と、二酸化塩素製剤と、を含有する。上記セルロース粉末は、植物由来である。上記二酸化塩素製剤は、多孔質担体と、上記多孔質担体に担持される亜塩素酸ナトリウムと、を有する。この汚物処理剤では、セルロース粉末により汚物を吸水固化する作用が得られ、二酸化塩素製剤の亜塩素酸ナトリウムが発生させる二酸化塩素により汚物の消臭作用、殺菌作用、及び抗菌作用が得られる。したがって、この汚物処理剤を汚物に散布することにより、汚物の吸水固化、消臭、殺菌、及び抗菌を行うことが可能である。また、植物由来のセルロース粉末は、一般的な吸水剤である吸水性ポリマーと比較して生分解性に優れる。このため、汚物とともに廃棄される際に環境汚染の虞がなく、廃棄コストを低減することができる。【選択図】なし
