PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit capable of facilitating the attachment/detachment.SOLUTION: A drive unit 10 includes: a lower fixing mechanism 44 arranged at the lower end of a support plate 12； and an upper fixing mechanism 46 arranged at the upper side end of the support plate 12. When a lever 24 is at the first position, the drive unit 10 is placed on the tipping lever of a wheelchair with the use of the lower fixing mechanism 44. The lever 24 is displaced to the second position, the lower fixing mechanism 44 is fixed to the tipping lever, and then the upper fixing mechanism 46 is fixed to the back pipe of the wheelchair.
