PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable absorbent article with improved air permeability.SOLUTION: The disposable absorbent article comprises a non-stretchable area which is provided in a range having an absorber, and a stretchable area provided in a range having no absorber, on at least one of the exterior bodies constituting a front body and back body. The stretchable area has an inner sheet layer and an outer sheet layer, and a plurality of slender elastic stretchable members fitted between the inner sheet layer and the outer sheet layer, and is an area elastically stretched in a width direction followed by extension/contraction of the elastic stretchable members. The non-stretchable area has the inner sheet layer and the outer sheet layer continuous from the stretchable area, and unnecessary elastic stretchable members left between the inner sheet layer and the outer sheet layer, and is an area not elastically stretched in the width direction. In a range having no absorber, the non-stretchable area is provided on an absorber side of the exterior body in the width direction, and the stretchable is provided on both side parts of the exterior body in the width direction.
