PURPOSE: A composition containing a butanol extract of Allium senescens L. as an active ingredient for treating alopecia and promoting hair growth is provided to show superior effects without side effects. CONSTITUTION: A composition for treating alopecia and promoting hair growth contains a butanol extract of Allium senescens L. which is prepared by crushing Allium senescens L. with 90% or higher butanol. A method for manufacturing the composition comprises the steps of: crushing Allium senescens L. with 20-60 %(w/v) ethanol to prepare an ethanol extract； fractioning the ethanol extract with 90 %(v/v) or higher hexane to prepare a hexane insoluble fraction； fractioning the hexane insoluble fraction with 90 %(v/v) or higher dichloromethane to prepare a dichloromethane insoluble fraction； fractioning the dichloromethane insoluble fraction with 90 %(v/v) or higher ethyl acetate to prepare an ethyl acetate insoluble fraction； fractioning the ethyl acetate insoluble fraction with 90 %(v/v) or higher butanol to prepare a butanol soluble fraction； and removing the solvents from the butanol soluble fraction.본 발명은 탈모 치료 및 발모 촉진용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 두메부추 부탄올 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하거나 에탄올 추출, 헥산 분획, 디클로로메탄 분획, 에틸아세테이트 분획 및 부탄올 분획 단계를 거친 두메부추 부탄올 분획물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 탈모 치료 및 발모 촉진용 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면, 두메부추 부탄올 추출물 또는 에탄올 추출, 헥산 분획, 디클로로메탄 분획, 에틸아세테이트 분획 및 부탄올 분획 단계를 거친 두메부추 부탄올 분획물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물을 사용할 경우, 부작용 없이 우수한 탈모 치료 및 발모 촉진 효과를 기대할 수 있다.또한 본 발명의 조성물 제조방법에 따르면, 안정성이 높고 탈모 치료 및 발모 촉진 효과가 우수한 조성물을 제조할 수 있다.
