PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint position estimation device capable of reducing the time for estimating the positions of joints.SOLUTION: The joint position estimation device includes: a moving image acquisition unit； a person candidate region detection unit which detects a person candidate region including a person in the image； a joint position estimation unit which estimates the positions of joints of the person based on the person candidate region detected by the person candidate region detection unit； a person candidate region determination unit which determines whether or not the occupancy of the person candidate region in the image is optimal, based on the positions of joints estimated by the joint position estimation units and the person candidate region detected by the person candidate region detection unit； a person candidate region size changing unit which, when the person candidate region determination unit determines that the occupancy of the person candidate region is not optimal, changes the size of the person candidate region； and a recursive joint position estimation unit which, when the person candidate size changing unit changes the size of the person candidate region, again estimates the position of joints of the person with respect to the person candidate region of the changed size.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】関節位置の推定時間を短縮することが可能な関節位置推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】関節位置推定装置は、動画像取得部と、動画像に基づいて、画像内で人を含む人候補領域を検出する人候補領域検出部と、人候補領域検出部により検出された人候補領域に基づいて前記人の関節位置を推定する関節位置推定部と、関節位置推定部により推定された関節位置と、人候補領域検出部により検出された人候補領域とに基づいて、画像内における人候補領域の占有率が最適であるか否かについて判定する人候補領域判定部と、人候補領域判定部により人候補領域の占有率が最適でないと判定された場合、人候補領域のサイズを変更する人候補領域サイズ変更部と、人候補領域サイズ変更部により人候補領域のサイズが変更された場合、サイズが変更された後の人候補領域に対して、人の関節位置を再び推定する再帰関節位置推定部と、を備える。【選択図】図１
