PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring a visual axis which reduces burden imposed on a subject and facilitates calibration.SOLUTION: In the method, three or more any feature points on the surface of the eyeball of a subject are extracted and positional relationships between the feature points and the tip of a gaze vector are determined beforehand. An imaging device then images the eyeball, and the visual axis direction of the subject is measured on the basis of the positions of the feature points on the imaged image.
