The invention relates to biochemistry and medicine, more specifically to analytical biochemistry and immunochemical assay, and concerns a hydrogel-based biological microchip for the simultaneous quantitative determination of allergen-specific and total immunoglobulins E and/or immunoglobulins G in biological fluids. The microchip comprises elements with various allergens immobilized therein which are capable of causing allergic reactions in humans involving immunoglobulins E and G, and optionally, in need thereof, elements with anti-human immunoglobulin E antibodies and/or anti-human immunoglobulin G antibodies immobilized therein, and elements with human immunoglobulins E and/or G immobilized therein. The invention also relates to a method for carrying out simultaneous quantitative assay of immunoglobulins E and immunoglobulins G on the biological microchip, and to a reagent kit comprising said biological microchip. The invention also provides the construction of calibration curves to determine concentrations of various immunoglobulins directly on the microchip using microchip elements containing immobilized immunoglobulins. The invention may appear useful in diagnosing and monitoring the treatment of various types of allergies that involve immunoglobulins E and G.
