PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article, with high transpiration performance to sweat in a waist flap.
SOLUTION: The device is provided with an absorbent main body 3 and the waist strap F. The waist flap F on the back side comprises a skin abutment surface forming sheet 27 and a non-skin abutment surface forming sheet 21 comprising a hydrophobic sheet, with a hydrophilic sheet 29 disposed between both sheets 27 and 21. Elastic members 24 are disposed between the hydrophilic sheet 29 and the sheet 21, and the waist flap F on the back side has a waist gathering formed of a composite expansible part. The composite expansible part comprises composite expansible part forming sheets 21 and 22 jointed with each other by junction parts, discontinuous in the expansion direction of the composite expansible part, and discontinuous or continuous in the perpendicular direction to it, and the sheets 21 and 22 facing each other form a plurality of pleats continuously extended along the elastic members 24 in plurality. The composite expansible part forming sheets comprise the sheet 22 and the non-skin abutment surface forming sheet 21, or the hydrophilic sheet 29 and the non-skin abutment surface forming sheet 21.
