PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device capable of enhancing safety by suppressing erroneous puncture, and a treatment method.SOLUTION: A medical device 1 for forming a hole at an oval fossa in a living body, includes: a needle part 30 provided with a puncture part 31 a protection tube 60 for slidably storing the needle part 30 an operating part 70 to which a proximal portion of the needle part 30 is connected and a move part 80 to which a proximal portion of the protective tube 60 is connected and that is movable with respect to the operating part 70. The operating part 70 includes an operation body 71 to which the needle part 30 is connected, and a release part 100 rotatably connected to the operation body 71. The release part 100 includes a first contact portion 105, and the move part 80 includes a first reception portion 86. The first contact portion 105 comes into contact with the first reception portion 86 to retain a state where the puncture part 31 is stored in the protection tube 60 and, when the contact of the first contact portion 105 with the first reception portion 86 is released, the puncture part 31 can project from the protection tube 60 relative to a distal side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】誤穿刺を抑制して安全性を高めることができる医療デバイスおよび処置方法を提供する。
