PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus capable of effectively reducing a data amount for transferring or storing projection data.SOLUTION: A medical image processing device 40 includes a collection unit and a compression unit 453. The collection unit collects a plurality of pieces of projection data corresponding to a plurality of views from an X-ray detector consisting of a plurality of detection element arrays. The compression unit compresses the plurality of pieces of projection data.
