PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus to be used for an artificial hip joint replacement operation and having a positioning handle.SOLUTION: The positioning handle 159 includes: a body 182 for fixing a distal end part 161 and a proximal end part 223 a gauge 172 arranged in or in the neighborhood of the proximal end part 223 and a connector arranged in or in the neighborhood of the distal end part 161 in order to removably connect a prosthesis acetabular cup. The gauge 172 indicates the direction of the connected prosthesis acetabular cup.
