The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for generating and adding to a video movie a synchronised control signal for an auxiliary device which is adapted to perform sexually satisfying actions and the video movie shows a scene in which an actor performs sexually arousing movements, in which the control signal controls the auxiliary device to make it perform actions representing the sexually arousing movements of the actor, wherein a body part of the actor is selected and the movements of said body part are analysed by technical means only and by generating the control signal from the analysed movements. Preferably initially the video movie is recorded in an digital format and subsequently the control signal is generated by image analysis of the images of the video movie through determination of the movements of the selected body part and the control signal is added to the video signal.
