An insect trapping system for canopy layer includes a flight device, a net cover, a hanging assembly, and a trapping device. The net cover, with a top portion thereof connected to the flight device, is provided with an accommodating space opening downward. A remote device remotely controls the flying direction of the flight device and controls the net cover to detach from the flight device. The hanging assembly is longitudinally deposed in the accommodating space. The trapping device, connected to one end of the hanging assembly, contains alcohol and has an opening.
