PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaping work machine capable of improving working efficiency by switching an auxiliary transmission to a proper shift condition corresponding to a working state.SOLUTION: A grain-plant stalk existence detecting means for detecting existence of reaped grain-plant stalks conveyed in a reaping portion detects existence of the reaped grain-plant stalks, and when a reaping work determining condition, wherein a driving state is detected by a reaping driving state detecting means for detecting whether the reaping portion is in a driving state of driving to convey the reaped grain-plant stalks or non-driving state, is satisfied, the reaping state is determined, and when the reaping work determining condition is not satisfied, the non-reaping state is determined.
