The invention provides a hand-operated landscaping tool that includes a generally flat blade tool head in combination with an elongated multi-angle handle. The blade tool head has a sharp leading edge for cutting through soil, and the elongated multi-angle handle allows the user to work beneath the soil in a generally horizontal direction while maintaining the users hand in a position above the surface of the ground thereby minimizing contact with the ground and resulting injuries to the hand.
