PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial treatment method which has antibacterial activity without light irradiation, is stable against light, radiation, and chemicals such as chlorine, and does not decrease antibacterial effects.

SOLUTION: Antibacterial treatment solution which contains titanium (IV) oxide containing halogen and is provided with the antibacterial activity at least in a dark place is reserved in a dark place and the antibacterial treatment liquid is made into contact with an object of antibacterial treatment to exert antibacterial effects. Also, after the antibacterial treatment solution is adhered to the object of the antibacterial treatment and the object is dried up, the antibacterial property is imparted to the object of antibacterial treatment. Also, by performing light irradiation to the antibacterial treatment liquid, antibacterial activity is enhanced.
