The present invention relates to a process for treating keratin fibers, in particular human keratin fibers such as the hair, using a) at least one monosaccharide, b) at least one polysaccharide with amine group (s), followed heat treatment of said keratin fibers. The present invention furthermore carries a composition at acid pH (C) comprising a) at least one monosaccharide and b) at least one polysaccharide with amine group (s), in salified form or not. Finally, the present invention relates to a kit comprising a device with several compartments containing a) at least one monosaccharide and b) at least one polysaccharide with amine group (s), and a device for heating keratin fibers. La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement des fibres kératiniques, en particulier des fibres kératiniques humaines telles que les cheveux, mettant en oeuvre a) au moins un monosaccharide, b) au moins un polysaccharide à groupe(s) amine(s), suivi d'un traitement thermique desdites fibres kératiniques. La présente invention porte en outre une composition à pH acide (C) comprenant a) au moins un monosaccharide et b) au moins un polysaccharide à groupe(s) amine(s), sous forme salifiée ou non. Enfin, la présente invention concerne un kit comprenant un dispositif à plusieurs compartiments renfermant a) au moins un monosaccharide et b) au moins un polysaccharide à groupe(s) amine(s), et un dispositif pour chauffer les fibres kératiniques.
