PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument such as a catheter continuously providing a connecting portion of coils having different rigidities, with flexural rigidity.SOLUTION: As a medical instrument, for example, a catheter 100 is configured to include: an inner layer 11 having a main lumen 20 in the inside thereof a coil layer that is disposed on the outer periphery of the inner layer 11 and in which a first coil 30 and a second coil 40 both formed by winding wire rods 31 and 41 are connected to each other via the connecting portion 60 an outer layer 12 for covering the inner layer 11 including the coil layer and a long tubular body 10 having a covering layer 150 for covering the outer layer 12.
