The electronic endoscope device is provided with: a spectral image capturing means for capturing a spectral image of a predetermined wavelength range in a body cavity and obtaining spectral image data a spectrum resolving means whereby the spectral data of each of the pixels included in the spectral image data is resolved into a plurality of predetermined component spectra by performing regression analysis a spectrum compositing means for recomposing the predetermined plurality of component spectra, removing at least one of the plurality of component spectra, and thereby generating composited image data and a display means for performing screen display on the basis of the composite image data.
