The fishing reel includes a drive shaft (2) to be rotationally driven for winding a fishing line around a spool. The drive shaft (2) is rotationally supported by a magnetic fluid sealed bearing (3) having an inner ring magnetic fluid (25b) retained between an inner ring (3a) and a polar plate (24) retaining a magnet (22) and/or between the inner ring (3a) and the magnet (22), and an outer ring magnetic fluid (25a) retained between an outer ring (3b) and the polar plate (24) retaining the magnet (22) and/or between the outer ring (3b) and the magnet (22).
