PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a direction of a user used as a reference when providing guide support information on the basis of a detection value of direction detection means fixed to a guiding support device.SOLUTION: A guide system calculates a reference direction on the basis of a detection value G1 of direction detection means (21) fixed to a guiding support device (a white cane 2) that a user (the visually impaired 1) uses in hand, and provides the user with the guide support information on the basis of the reference direction. The guide system includes reference direction calculation means for calculating the reference direction (moving average) on the basis of temporal changes in the detection values, and provides the user with the guide support information with the users direction G2 defined as the reference direction.
