PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chewing gum that delivers a prolonged physiological cooling sensation to the skin or a mucous membrane.SOLUTION: There is provided the chewing gum including the cooling composition consisting: 5-60 wt.% menthyl glutarate acid ester 15-85 wt.% menthol and 5-50 wt.% of a second cooling agent selected from N-ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide and trimethyl isopropyl butanamide, in a core. The cooling composition is present in an amount of 0.2-1.2 wt.% of the chewing gum. Preferably, the menthyl glutarate acid ester is selected from monomenthyl glutarate acid ester and menthyl glutarate acid ester.
