SOLUTION: The electronic cassette has: a cassette body 30 including a radiation detector 44 for converting into transmission radiation image information, and an image memory 122 for storing the transmission radiation image information and a casing 32 capable of storing the cassette body 30, and connected electrically to the cassette body 30 with the cassette body 30 stored. The cassette body 30 has a cassette body transceiver 52 transmitting the radiation image information stored in the image memory 122 by radio communication, and a built-in battery 48 supplying the power to the cassette body 30, The casing 32 has a casing transmission part 130 for transmitting the radiation image information stored in the image memory 122 by radio communication, and an external battery 68 for supplying the power to the cassette body 30.
