PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device for an electronic cassette capable of confirming the presence of an image detection error or a data preservation error, and an electronic cassette system.SOLUTION: This USB memory device 14 includes a USB connector 29, an indicator 30, a flash memory 52 and a memory control part 53, and the electronic cassette 11 has a mounting part 33, a USB interface 35, an image memory 44, a cassette control part 45 and a USB controller 50.
