Embodiments include a catheter anchoring device for securing a percutaneous medical catheter (34) inserted at a skin puncture site to a skin (4) of a body. The catheter anchoring device includes a catheter capture portion (54) coupled to a skin attachment portion (52). The catheter capture portion (54) may be configured to engage with a portion of the catheter (34) protruding from the skin when the catheter is subcutaneously placed in a body.
