There is provided a method for preserving the temperature of a liquid, the method characterized in including a step for adding an edible-roasting-oil-containing oil to a liquid containing at least 80% by mass of water so that the amount of the edible roasting oil per square centimeter of the area of the surface of the liquid is at least 0.0007 g, the color level of the oil including the edible roasting oil (Y+10×R+10×B) as expressed by the formula Y+10×R+10×B is at least 20 (Y, R and B represent, respectively, the Y value (yellow slide value), R value (red slide value), and B value (blue slide value) measured with a Lovibond colorimeter (cell: 25.4 mm))볶은 식용유를 포함하는 오일을, 80 질량％ 이상의 물을 포함하는 액체에, 상기 액체의 액면의 면적 1 ㎠당 볶은 식용유가 0.0007 g 이상의 양이 되도록 첨가하는 공정을 포함하고, 상기 볶은 식용유를 포함하는 오일은, 하기 식 (1)에 의해 나타내는 색 값(Y+10×R+10×B)이 20 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 액체의 보온 방법:Y+10×R+10×B···식 (1)여기서, Y, R, B는, 로비본드 비색계(25.4 ㎜셀)로 측정한 Y값(황색 슬라이드의 값), R값(적색 슬라이드의 값), B값(청색 슬라이드의 값)을 나타낸다.
