A pan (1) for foods comprising a bottom (2) and a side wall (3) connected to the bottom (2) and defining, together with the bottom (2) itself, a containment volume (4) for at least one food; the pan (1) comprises at least one identification element (9), provided on at least one outer surface portion of the bottom (2), and incised in the thickness of the bottom (2) or of the side wall (3) for a certain depth. The identification element (9) is constituted by any sign or set of signs suitable to be recognised in a unique way by an electronic reading device. The bottom (2) comprises at least one raised portion that lies on a different plane than the one on which the remaining portions of the bottom (2) lie so as to define a recess (6a); the identification element (9) is realised in the lower face (2b) of the bottom (2), inside the recess (6a).
