PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container-packed turmeric beverage and its manufacturing method that solve the problem that, as a result of the study to aim to obtain a preservative beverage produced by thermal sterilization of a container-packed turmeric beverage, for example, by retort sterilization that is not conventionally performed, a phenomenon that turmeric powder settles out to the container bottom part after retort sterilization and the container bottom face is caked with the turmeric powder is found out, the caking can not be removed by just shaking the container, and consequently, a quantitative error in-between the beverage ingredient labeling and an error in the functional aspects as a healthy drink are highly likely to occur.
SOLUTION: The thermally-sterilized container-packed turmeric beverage and its manufacturing method are characterized in as follows. The container-packed turmeric beverage includes a turmeric powder, water, an emulsifier, calcium salt and/or starch. The container-packed turmeric beverage is thermally sterilized.
