PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an absorber hardly producing a hardened part in an absorbent core.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an absorber includes a step of forming an absorbent core 40 by accumulating a textile material 41 supplied in a scattering state, and a step of passing the formed absorbent core 40 between a pair of rollers 81 and 82 having a speed difference in a peripheral velocity. In the step of passing the absorbent core 40 between a pair of the rollers, the basis weight unevenness of the absorbent core 40 can be decreased by, for instance, passing the absorbent core 40 so as to bring the one roller 81 into direct contact with the surface of the absorbent core 40.
