PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorption treatment material with excellent appearance, for absorbing liquid such as excretions of a person or animal.SOLUTION: A water absorption treatment material 1 includes a granular core part 10, a pigment 12, a cover layer part 20, and a pigment 22. The pigment 12 is present on a surface of the granular core part 10, and colors the granular core part 10 in a color (second color) different from the color (first color) of the granular core part 10. The cover layer part 20 covers the granular core part 10. The pigment 22 is included in the cover layer part 20. The pigment 22 has a color (third color) different from any of the first color and the second color.
