PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which the cushionability of the absorbent article is improved and skin touch feeling is improved.SOLUTION: A catamenial pad 1A being an example of the absorbent article has a front surface sheet 2 arranged in the skin facing surface side, a rear surface sheet 3 arranged in the non skin facing surface side, and an absorbent body 4 arranged between the sheets. A nonwoven cloth constituting fibers a part of which has raised fibers 70 having free ends are used in the front surface sheet 2 and/or a liquid permeable sheet 9 arranged between the front surface 2 and the absorbent body 4.
