PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of securing proper visibility and stability according to the characteristics of a fluorescent medicine which is actually used.SOLUTION: When set to a fluorescent observation mode, a light source device generates excitation light and reference light, a CCD captures images using fluorescence and reference light, and according to input of a TBR value of an administered fluorescent medicine, a matrix coefficient determination circuit determines a matrix coefficient according to the TBR value. A matrix circuit constituting a calculation unit multiplies the determined matrix coefficient to a three-color component image constituting a first composite image, generates a second composite image which secures visibility and stability according to the TBR value, and a color monitor displays the second composite image.
