PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating plants, hardly causing root clogging, easy to supply oxygen and nutrition to roots, and easy to promote plant raising and growth； to provide a plant cultivation container； and to provide plant cultivation soil usable by setting it in the plant cultivation container.SOLUTION: A cultivation container includes a main root spreading chamber and an accessory root spreading chamber. The accessory root spreading chamber is set on both sides or either the outside or the inside of the main root spreading chamber, and plant roots raised and grown by cultivating plants with main root spreading culture soil in the main root spreading chamber are extended (go into) to accessory root spreading culture soil in the accessory root spreading chamber. Culture soil may not be put into the accessory root spreading chamber at the beginning of plant cultivation with culture soil in the main root spreading chamber, and culture soil may be put into the accessory root spreading chamber to cultivate and let the roots go into the accessory root spreading chamber, after plants are raised and grown, and the roots extend to near the accessory root spreading chamber or into the accessory root spreading chamber.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】 根詰まりし難く、根に酸素や栄養が供給され易く、植物の生育、成長が促進されやすい植物栽培方法及び植物栽培容器と、この植物栽培容器にセットして使用可能な植物栽培用培土を提供する。【解決手段】 栽培容器が主根張室と副根張室を備え、副根張室は主根張室の外側と内側の双方またはいずれか一方に設けられ、その主根張室内の主根張培土で植物を栽培して生育、成長させた植物の根を、前記副根張室内の副根張培土まで展伸（進入）させるようにした。主根張室の培土での植物の栽培当初は副根張室に培土を入れず、植物が生育、成長して根が副根張室の近く又は副根張室内まで展伸してから副根張室に培土を入れて栽培し、その副根張室の培土に根を進入させるようにしてもよい。【選択図】図１
