PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation film which makes plants sufficiently grow and is prevented from penetration of roots: to provide a method for producing the film: and to provide a method for cultivating plants using the plant cultivation film.SOLUTION: The plant cultivation film includes a polyvinyl alcohol film layer and a layer containing a root-proofing agent. A method for producing the plant cultivation film includes a process for coating the polyvinyl alcohol film layer with undiluted solution for forming the layer containing a root-proofing agent. The method for cultivating plants includes cultivating plants so as to make the plants and the plant cultivation film directly get in touch with each other.
